innocence

"innocence, is charm"

hmm.
i just watched the last performance of America's Got Talent.

well.
it was a 6-year-old autistic boy who performed.
he sang.
honestly speaking, for his age, it was already quite good, despite the number of off tune notes.

but that's not the point.
i had a revelation today.

'innocence, is the ultimate charm'

watching a young boy of little stature,
it moved the audience,
because of innocence.
because of the undoubted purity of heart.
the personification of the overly used "ignorance is bliss"
yet. it is not the oblivion that moves,
but innocence.
the very uncorrupted core of the young boy,
as he sang each and every word,
through his slightly shaky voice,
moved thousands. possibly and very likely much more.




hmm...
how i wish i could sing like a child,
the hoarse yet clear voice,
high and not screechy,
pure. yes. pure.


there's something about children who sing,
something about their voices.
it can be so easy to differentiate,
and as easy to appreciate,
whether or not the pitch and stuffs are right.
it wouldn't matter.
as long as it were a child.

1st september

haha. today
was an awesome day.
haha.
it was all melancholy and sad farewells at the start,
but oh well, joanna'll be gone only for 4 mths.
actually that's quite a long time.
ohwell.
i got there (airport T3)
half an hour before joanna and her family actually came -.-
then saw jamie, elsia, claudia and naomi,
then kenneth khong,
then magdalene,
then jet and nat.
THEN joanna and her family came xD
^erhmm. note the wailing mourners behind.*bye ahma!!

ok anyway.
the guys then went to Popeyes to eat.
ohmygoodness.
$6.90 on 2 pc chicken!

thena nyways.
the girls, who were supposed to have left much earlier,
hadn't left yet.
lol.
so i, jethro and titus tagged along.
we went all the way to tampines
however, jethro left halfway for tuition xD

well then,
we finally reached tampines.
then we waited 20mins for te shuttle bus.
THEN IT RAINED.
TITUS HOW COULD YOU.

then we were on the bus.
and claudia got high.

we did eventually reach ikea,
and the girls went for the food immediately.
i trailed after soon, leaving titus behind to take care of the table.
i only bought 2 chicken wings, which titus did too, later.
the girls, well, were a little ambitious.
each of them had 10 swedish meatballs each.
plus 2 chicken wings each.
AND. a cake each.
they took 2 hours -.-
i finished my chicken wings in 5-10mins.

the girls needed to go buy some photo frames.

they made their selection very quickly.

after they made their purchase.
we had a pleasant time waiting for the shuttle bus again.
lol we were all getting really bored.

the bus finally came and we all headed home from tampines mrt.
claudia and elsia took 969 home.
i think titus followed them and took another bus home.
magdalene and me took the MRT.
she dropped of at payar lebar, suanning me all the way.
while i took 20 stops before i reached bishan, where i had to take another bus.

today was a nice day =]
